Continuous Rise of Medical and Healthcare Industry

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, medical and healthcare industry is regarded as one of the fastest growing careers, together with education and technology.  From the collected figures, medical and health care workers receive an average salary of $26,290

The medical profession indeed continues to dominate the US workforce.  The continuous rise of the said industry can be attributed to the advancement of technology.  The medical and healthcare industry has now expanded in tune with the constant discovery of treatments, medical equipment, and medical studies.  The growth of the said industry has provided numerous career opportunities.  It is now no longer restricted to nurses, surgeons or doctors.

From the report of US Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, this industry has provided 14 million jobs.  A great number of individuals now working for the health and medical industry, aside from doctors and nurses, include laboratory technicians, medical transcriptionists, and medical assistants.

Another reason for the fast growth of this industry is the aging of the baby boomer generation. People who are about to reach retirement age currently dominate U.S. demographics.  This is why a great number of individuals are needed to provide specialized care for their physical, emotional and social well-being.

To cater to the demand for proper medical and healthcare to the public, medical education have been created.  The career opportunities from the development of the healthcare sector enabled academic institutions to create tailor-fit programs that equip individuals with the proper knowledge and skills needed for the medical and healthcare industry.  Medical education can either be learned from medical schools in your area, or through online education.  Online medical courses are now available to make learning more accessible especially to other professionals who want a career transition to the healthcare and medical industry.

The variety of career opportunities in the medical and healthcare industry should be greatly taken into consideration in choosing a career.  This might be your key to success!
